Blog Desk – An Endorsement
April 26th, 2007 by Mr. Y
This is another endorsement of Blog Desk. It has to be the handiest tool I’ve run across in a long time. It’s best feature is the ease of inserting graphics. In WordPress the text is squished up next to the image unless you manually insert padding code – a chore that can certainly be accomplished but with Blog Desk it’s nearly automatic. You simply fill in two boxes for horizontal and vertical padding (I use 5 for each unless it’s a special case) and your image and text are separated automagically.
You can absolutely control text and image placement with a keystroke. AND – if you figure out the width of your blog and tell Blog Desk you will never break your template with an image that is too large. Blog Desk will warn you if you are trying to insert an image that is too big and allow you to crop or resize it.
Don’t tell the Blog Desk people I said this but they should be charging a lot for this program. The old rule of getting what you pay for does not apply in this case. Even though this product is free, it is worth a lot!
